Information
regarding halogen and Xenon bulbs:
Halogen bulbs are popular because they are more efficient than
incandescent bulbs. Halogen bulbs must not be touched by the human hand,
as the oils from our skin will cause them to deteriorate.
Xenon bulbs are a touchable alternative (non-toxic, too). It is ok to
handle Xenon bulbs with bare hands. They produce a high intensity, high
color light. Another advantage to Xenon is they have up to 3 times longer
life expectancy, they are 15% cooler, they do not emit UV rays (which can
fade fabrics) and they are less vulnerable to voltage fluctuations
commonly found on boats and RV's. |
